Strength to Strength - The Mother of All Self Help Books

Wealth

The Wealth chapters are dedicated to improving your financial situation. Before you begin reading, there are two things that you should know.
The first is that this section isn’t a ‘get rich quick’ guide. That quackery is best left to other books or Ponzi schemes. What is more, it is worth bearing in mind that money swiftly gained is often swiftly lost. The newspapers are littered with tales of lottery winners who have blown their fortunes.

The second point is that your Wealth Threads are closely knitted to your Spiritual Threads. Wealth, in its naked form, is defined in the dictionary as ‘abundance of money or of precious commodities’. To a certain extent, however, your Wealth Threads are also an extension of your state of mind. One person’s rainy day fund can be another person’s sumptuous riches. Your personal definition of wealth is dictated by your background, your ambitions and your priorities in life. Rich is a feeling, not an amount of money.

It is part of human nature to want to be more, do more and have more. These desires push you towards a more abundant life. You cannot choose your starting point, but it is your vision, your plan and your actions that will create your Wealth Threads, one by one.
