You all share and enjoy one another’s lives. You are all on a journey together. When you want to cry, your family builds you back up and makes you smile again.
Employers looking for salespeople often make beelines for candidates with young families. Why? Because these employees tend to be ambitious and highly motivated. They have families who support them – and who require support in return. These workers won’t walk out if they have a bad day.
The journalist Erma Bombeck described her own family very neatly. She wrote, ‘We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another’s desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.’
Their ‘common thread’, of course, was love. Likewise, every member of your family represents a Golden Thread in your life.
